Pam Beidle began serving in the Maryland State Senate in January 2019. She is a member of the Finance Committee, Vice-Chair of the Executive Nominations Committee and Chair of the Anne Arundel County Senate Delegation. Prior to her election to the Senate, Pam served as a State Delegate for twelve years and on the Anne Arundel County Council for eight years. Pam currently serves as a Deputy Majority Whip, she is a member of the Joint Committee on Gaming Oversight, Joint Committee on the Management of Public Funds, and The Nursing Home and Assisted Living Oversight Committee. Pam is also a member of the Women Legislators of Maryland, the Maryland Veterans Caucus and the Transportation Caucus.

Pam’s professional career began in 1974 in the insurance industry, opening her own Nationwide Insurance agency in 1979. She sold the agency in May 2017. Since 2004, she has served as a Director with Arundel Federal Savings Bank and currently serves as a board member on the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center Board, The BWI Business Partnership Board, the Chesapeake Bay Trust and the Local Development Council. She is the managing member of Glen Oak Professional Center LLC.

Pam has been an active member of the community her entire adult career. She has earned numerous awards for her work in the Anne Arundel County community: The Chamber Presidents Award 2003 and 2013, Leadership Anne Arundel Volunteer Award 2012 and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1998, the Athena Award 2008, and the Nationwide Insurance Corporate Service Award 1997. Beidle has been honored by the YWCA with the Twin Award in 1996 and the prestigious Maggie Boone Moss Award in 2014 for service to the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. The Central Maryland Chamber honored Senator Beidle with the Government Advocate of the Year in 2020.

She graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with an Associate Degree and earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Towson University. Pam has lived in Linthicum for 43 years, she has 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
