Senate Bill 665, Maryland Defense Act, Passes Senate

Today on the Maryland Senate floor, Senators voted 29-17 to pass Senate Bill 665 – the Maryland Defense Act. While the session started out with an impassioned debate, the tone soon changed to that of cooperation and compromise on the matter. The articles outlined in this bill give our Attorney General, Brian Frosh, the necessary powers to fight back against the Trump Administration, and the poisonous policies coming out of Washington, DC.

We are extremely grateful to have such strong legislators in our state that are looking to advocate on behalf of the rights, issues, and concerns of all Marylanders. The bill, in it’s entirety, can be found on the Maryland General Assembly website here.¬†Your feedback is immensely important, and we implore all interested to contact their State Senator in response to this bill.
