Malcolm Augustine and his wife, Lauren, have lived in Prince George’s County for the last 15 years, where they happily are raising their two girls, 13 and 11. Cheverly is their home.

Malcolm Augustine is a seasoned marketing, sales, analytics and customer relationship executive that provides direct marketing service support into the higher education, non-profit, government and healthcare sectors. As the Director of Business Development at Intra-Mail Network, Malcolm currently manages customer relations and nurtures new prospects for many of the largest direct marketers in the United States.

At Eltrex Industries, a Black Enterprise 100 company with business lines in printing, mailing, and manufacturing, Malcolm built customer relationships that culminated in multi-million dollar contracts for fulfillment services, contract manufacturing, and products like industrial vacuum cleaners.

Along the way, Malcolm has exercised his entrepreneurial spirit through successful start-up ventures. His health outreach consultancy, Think Health Now, partnered with groups like the Progressive National Baptist Convention to distribute health information to its members. And his mobile medical imaging business, MDiagnostix, brought diagnostic services, like x-rays and ultrasounds, to people who were shut-in or home-bound.

In the community, Prince George’s County Executive, the Honorable Rushern Baker, appointed Malcolm to serve on the Board of WMATA, commonly known as METRO. METRO Rail, Bus and Access transports over 300 Million passengers between Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia annually. As a member of the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee, Malcolm represents District 47 serving on the Ways and Means, Labor Relations, and Multicultural Outreach subcommittees. Malcolm served as a Co-Chair of Progressive Cheverly at its inception and currently serves on the Executive Board.

Previously Malcolm chaired the Prince George’s County Cable Commission, where Malcolm worked to improve the accountability of the franchise holders, Comcast and Verizon, to the citizens of Prince Georges County. In addition, he assisted in the negotiations of a new contract seeking favorable terms for Prince George’s County.

Malcolm serves on the Advisory Board at his children’s school, Saint Ambrose Catholic School of Cheverly. In addition, he coaches girls’ basketball and track.

Malcolm is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc., and he holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
